Season two saw a transition to a modified Version of Old School Essentials (Advanced) by Gavin Norman, one of many retro offshoots of the world's most popular role playing game. We borrow rules and content from many sources, but with Old School Essentials we used (in no particular order), Old School Feats by Eric Diaz, Into The Wyrd and Wild by Charles Furgeson-Avery, Into the Wild by Todd Leback, The Axian Library by Guiseppe Rotondo, and the Monster Overhaul by Skerples, amongst other sources.
With the close of Season 2 and the addition of two new Retro Role Casters we have moved to a more episodic format for Season 3. We are refering to seasons 1 and 2 as our Zero Level Funnel of Podcasting.
For Level one we have decided to do more of a One+ shot format to try some of the many systems we admire. That adventure begins with ShadowDark and moves to Mothership. Then on to Dolmenwood, Dungeon Crawl Classics, and who knows what...

A big RetroRoleCast thank you to all of you amazing Shadowdarklings that gave us a listen in the last 7 weeks! We have noticed and appreciate the support! In this episode we give a quick recap on our adventure, and how we feel on the game.
While this was our first Shadowdark experience, It will not be the last! We will be releasing our Mothership adventure next, so we invite you to check out that great system as well, but It will be only a short time 'til we have more Shadowdark for you to sink your teeth into!
